This is a very cute ocean craft using your child's handprint. I try to use my children's handprints in as many crafts as I can and keep as special keepsakes. What you'll need to make this craft:
1 paper plate
Blue tissue paper
1 piece of blue construction paper
Sharpie
1 googly eye
glue
Cut 1-inch squares out of the tissue paper and have your child glue them onto the plate. Cut the bottom of the plate (about 2 inches) off. Cut a strip of construction paper about 4 inches long and 2 inches wide and glue the end to the back of the plate. Glue the cut plate piece to the other end of the strip of paper. Take your child's hand and trace it onto the construction paper. Cut it out and attach it to the top of the whale. Glue the googly eye onto the plate and draw in a smile with a sharpie.
