As soon as Spring arrives, my daughter wants to start looking for butterflies in our backyard. she absolutely loves these beautiful creatures and would photograph each and every one that she sees if she could.
Since she adores butterflies so much, I thought I'd come up with a few butterfly crafts for her to make, like this pretty tissue paper one.
To make this craft, you'll need:
tissue paper, assorted colors
1 paper plate
1 pipe cleaner
glue
tape
To cut a paper plate in half and shape the wings. Cut 5 inch squares of tissue paper and roll them up. Add glue to the tissue paper and attach to the paper plate. Cover both paper plate halves with the paper. When done, tape the paper plate halves together in the back. Next, take a pipe cleaner, cut it in half and bend both pieces a little at the ends. Tape them to the center of one of the plate halves.
