AT HOME
Looking beautiful without makeup is possible for anyone. Have you ever met someone who said that they never leave the house without makeup, even if they’re just going to the grocery store? Some women are scared to be seen with a bare face, while others think that they look terrible without the full works. Not only is that not true, but there are plenty of ways to look beautiful without makeup that will leave you feeling gorgeous and confident. Makeup is fun, but it shouldn’t be obligatory! If, for whatever reason, you can’t or don’t want to wear makeup, whether on certain days or at all, here are some great ways to look beautiful without makeup you should try.
Exfoliate regularly
Exfoliating helps to get rid of dead skin cells to make room for new and healthy skin. And although our skin naturally sheds dead cells and creates new ones, its ability to do so decreases as we age. Exfoliating can help this process along to promote smooth and glowing skin.
Lock the moisture in
Moisturizing helps prevent your skin from becoming too dry or oily, which help prevent skin problems like acne and blemishes. Moisturizer also helps seal the water in our skin which can reduce the appearance of fine lines.
Tighten your pores
There are a few ways you can tighten you pores. One of the most important steps to tighten your pores is to cleanse your skin. Makeup and dirt can clog pores and even enlarge them over time. Another way to unclog your pores is to use a clay mask because they help to oil build up, which can make your pore look larger. Lastly, you can use a skin toner which remove impurities which can help make your pores appear smaller so your skin will look smoother
Use a toner
Toners serve a few purposes. As mentioned above, toner removes impurities like oil, dirt and makeup which minimize the appearance of pores. They also help to hydrate your skin, gently exfoliate your skin, and help to protect your skin from environmental stressors. They also help. Lastly, a toner will improve the efficacy of other skincare products. Since toner removes dirt and oil, providing a clean canvas, it enhances the efficacy of serums and moisturizers.
Groom your brows
Your eyebrows have the ability to frame your face, so by properly grooming them, they can enhance your face and really help define your facial features. You can groom them yourself by plucking or trimming them, or visit a salon to get them shaped and waxed.
Lengthen your lashes
Who doesn’t want long, thick lashes? Castor oil promotes eyelash growth and helps them yo grow thicker and longer. Apply some to your lashes with a clean mascara wand. Leave it on your lashes overnight and wash it off in the morning with warm water. You won’t see results overnight, but if you do this on a regular basis for a few months, you will notice a difference.
Get your beauty sleep
Your skin repairs and renews itself overnight, which is why it’s important to get the proper amount of sleep. Studies show it’s best to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night.
Drink enough water
Hydrating on the inside is just as important as hydrating on the outside when it comes to beautiful /healthy skin. It’s important anyway to drink water—experts suggest 6-8 glasses a day—to keep your body well hydrated.
Whiten your teeth
Nothing can lighten up your face as a bright white smile. Beside having regular dental cleanings, there are other ways to keep that beautiful smile, including using a whitening toothpaste, over-the-counter whitening products, home remedies like baking soda and professional teeth whitening.
Accessorize
Accessories can make a big impact on your appearance. Put on a pair of earrings, a necklace, a hat or cute headband, or glasses. Outdoors, sunglasses can help to elevate your look, while indoors, a stylish pair of glasses can make you look put together.
Dress up
If you ‘re not wearing makeup, make a point to dress up. If you wear clothes that are unflattering and your hair is a mess, you’re more likely to look dull and tired. But dressing up can change your demeaner and help you look great!
