Honey Garlic Chicken
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the chicken breasts on each side with salt and pepper. Cook chicken 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown, and no longer pink in the center or it reaches an internal temperature of 165 F. Remove chicken to plate and keep warm.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, and soy sauce. Add a little bit of water at a time to thin, if necessary.
Add the garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in the honey and soy sauce and bring to a simmer, stirring regularly. Add the chicken back to the pan and turn chicken once to coat in sauce.
Remove from pan, place on plates and pour remaining sauce from pan on top of the chicken. Serve with rice and/or vegetables.
