Ground Beef Stroganoff
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 6 servings
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 small yellow or white onion, finely diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 (0.87 oz) packet brown gravy mix
1 cup cold water
1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons dried parsley
12 oz wide egg noodles
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and diced onion. Sprinkle the onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper over the beef. Cook and crumble until ground beef is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease/liquid.
Whisk together the contents of the gravy packet with the cold water until combined. Pour this into the ground beef.
Add the sour cream and cream of mushroom soup and stir everything together until combined.
Let the mixture simmer over medium or medium-low heat while the noodles cook (about 10 minutes).
Boil a large pot of salted boiling water and cook noodles according to package instructions. When the noodles are done cooking, drain them but do not rinse them.
Add the noodles and dried parsley into the beef mixture and stir together to combine. Serve warm.
