Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 55 minutes

Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

1 pound macaroni noodles

8 slices bacon

1 lb. ground beef

1 medium sweet yellow onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1-½ tablespoons tomato paste

3 tablespoons ketchup

2 teaspoons yellow mustard

2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Spray a large deep 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Cook macaroni in salted water according to package directions. Rinse under cold water, drain well and set aside.

Add the bacon to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until bacon is browned and crisp, about 5-6 minutes. Remove bacon from pan, crumble or chop bacon and set aside. Drain most of the bacon fat from the pan, leaving 2 teaspoons in the pan.

Add the ground beef and onion to the pan. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spatula until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds or until garlic is fragrant.

Add the tomato paste, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the bacon to the pan. Stir to coat the beef with the sauce. Drain the macaroni and add it to the pan with the beef mixture. Remove from the heat and stir until everything is combined and cheese is melted.

Add the beef and pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish, and top with the remaining cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and the casserole is heated through. Top with remaining bacon and serve.

Enjoy!
