Vitamins for hair aren’t regulated by the FDA, which means that they can contain any ingredient they want and can claim anything they want. You’ll also want to make sure any supplements won’t interact with any medications you’re taking.
If you eat a well-balanced diet, your body should already be getting the vitamins and minerals that your hair needs. And, doubling your intake won’t make a difference, since your body keeps what it needs and gets rid of the rest.
