    The Getty Center's Garden Concerts for Kids returns this August with three weekends of shows. The free outdoor music series for kids and their families features some of the best children's musical artists from across the nation. Kids have a blast rolling in the grass and running through the garden, as well as dancing and singing along with the music. The first weekend features a Mommy Poppins favorite: Dan & Claudia Zanes, with Tyree Austin. Website

    The Actor's Gang is up to their usual nonsense, this year bringing a kid-friendly Shakespearean production that's artificial, yet somehow intelligent. The Culver City troupe puts their signature spin on Shakespeare, this year taking on Two Gentlemen of Verona. This romantic comedy follows two best friends whose loyalty is tested when they both fall for the same woman. Now with more robots! Website

    The Pacific Islands are celebrated at the Bowers Museum at this free family festival. The afternoon includes performances of hula, polynesian and other cultural dances, as well as Hawaiian music.     The community is invited to join Beverly Hills Fire & Police Departments, the Public Library, and Office of Emergency Management to celebrate National Night Out. The 400 block of North Rexford Drive (in front of the Library and the Fire Department) transforms into a Beverly Hills block party, where families can enjoy kid-friendly displays from SWAT and K-9 units, drones, 911 Dispatchers, BHFD and the Mobile Command Center. Other fun includes food trucks, live DJ, a Quake House, photo ops, face painting and balloons, and more. Website
