ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo

ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo has been a favorite holiday event for more than 30 years, with light displays and seasonal activities throughout the zoo. The event is free on Monday evenings, and $7 most other weekdays, and $12 on weekends and premium dates. Website

Naper Lights
Downtown Naperville 
Through January 1
Downtown Naperville's annual holiday light extravaganza features light displays and music throughout the downtown Naperville and Riverwalk areas. Admission is free. Get a photo with Santa beside the Great Tree on select dates. Website

Nights of Lights
Adams Park, Wheaton
Through January 4
The new holiday light experience at Adams Park is hosted by the Downtown Wheaton Association and the City of Wheaton and has plenty of holiday spirit and community. Don't forget to drop your letter to Santa in the Nights of Lights mailbox to be delivered directly to the North Pole. Website

Free Holiday Movies at the Glen Art Theatre

Families can enjoy classic holiday movies courtesy of the Glen Art Theatre and the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce on the Saturdays leading up to Christmas. Seats are limited, so families should arrive early. Website

Tree Lighting at Wilder Park

Thursday, December 4
Trees sponsored by community organizations, families, and groups of friends will be lit at the Tree Lighting in Wilder Park. The event also includes a visit from Santa, holiday music and games, and treats from local food trucks. Website

Millennium Park Holiday Sing-Along
Downtown
Fridays, December 5, 12, and 19
Sing together with other Chicagoans in this multi-cultural holiday event. A different performer will lead the sing-along each week at the Cloudgate sculpture. Songbooks will be distributed so participants can sing along. Website

Cocoa with Santa at Adams Park

Winter Lights at Central Park

As the sun sets and darkness descends, Central Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Thousands of twinkling lights illuminate the 1/2 mile walk through the beautifully lit Central Park, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Discover dancing trees, colorful rainbow arches, cascading snowflakes, dazzling twirling icicles, vibrantly colored butterflies, and musical hearts throughout this scenic walk. This walk is FREE to the community and accessible to all. Website

Winter Flower Show: Merry & Bright at Garfield Park Conservatory

This year’s Winter Flower Show “Merry & Bright” evokes the festivity of the season. While the outdoor landscape is gray (and maybe white!), the indoor Show House reveals a cheerful selection of poinsettias including ‘Viking Cinnamon’, ‘Lemon Glow’, ‘Chorus Hot Pink’, and ‘Candy Wintergreen’. Art on the Mart

Families can watch as works of art are projected on The Merchandise Mart, while listening to a variety of unique music. The show is about 30 minutes long at 9 pm each night. Website

Take pictures in a giant snow globe outside the buildings, or step inside for cookie decorating, a holiday sing along, face painting, a caricature artist, or photos with Santa.
