1. Jaemor Farms —Alto
This family-owned farm in Alto (about 75 minutes northeast of Atlanta) offers seasonal u-pick on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $6 per person (plus tax) and a gallon box for picking costs $20 (plus tax). Children 2 and under are free with a paid adult. We love to visit The Eatery at Jaemor Farms for sandwiches, subs, BBQ and a special monthly milkshake. They also sell fresh cakes, breads, donuts, pies, and ice cream. 2. Mercier Orchards —Blue Ridge
Known mostly for their apples, Mercier also grows other tasty fruits like strawberries. During the season they offer u-pick and pre-picked strawberries. Mercier is a convenient location for families who also want to take a day trip or weekend getaway to Blue Ridge.
3. The Shed at Fitzgerald Fruit Farm—Woodbury
Visitors can choose from u-pick or pre-picked at this cute farm about an hour-plus south of Atlanta (which has a wine tasting room as well). Check The Shed's Facebook page, because they often have BOGO deals and gallon prices can change.
4. LCCL Strawberry Farm—Rome
Popular among families, LCCL Strawberry Farm has been offering u-pick strawberries since 2003. Despite the name, they also grow blueberries and all types of vegetables. Strawberry pickers are assigned a row among the vines and staff can assist in the selection and picking of ripe berries. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own containers. Guests can also purchase jams, jellies, salsa, and strawberry donuts. They offer train rides for kids on the weekends. (Cash or check only for purchases).
5. Moon Farms Country Market—Colbert
It may be called a market but it is a true farm as well. A bucket of u-pick strawberries costs $17 per gallon at Moon Farms, located 90 minutes east of Atlanta (near Athens). More than 48,000 strawberry plants are put in the ground each year so there’s plenty for picking. Folks rave about their strawberry ice cream! Cash or check only.
6. Southern Belle Farm—McDonough
Strawberries can be picked right off the vine at Southern Belle’s 15-acre strawberry patch. Admission to the patch is $1, and strawberries are $19.95 per gallon. Season picking passes are available. If your kids like farm activities (who doesn't?), then they will love Belle's Barnyard which has jumping pillows, a cow train, pedal karts, and a mega-slide called Belle's Barnstormer. Tip: Purchase activity passes online before you go and save.
7. Sweet South Strawberry Farm—Thomaston
About 75 minutes south of Atlanta sits Sweet South Strawberry Farm, where visitors can pick strawberries by the gallon or grab pre-picked strawberries for easy access. Enjoy homemade strawberry ice cream, plushies and shortcake at the farm’s store.
8. The Strawberry Patch at Taylor Orchards—Reynolds
Taylor Orchards is located in Reynolds, about two hours south of Atlanta, and home to the annual Georgia Strawberry Festival (April 25, 2026). The patch has u-pick and pre-picked strawberries plus delicious strawberry ice cream. Open every day during the strawberry season, but check the Facebook page for updates.
9. Warbington Farms—Cumming
With over 100,000 strawberry plants in their fields, Warbington Farms lets visitors pick right from the vines or purchase pre-picked strawberries in the My kids loved the fun park when they were 10 and under; it has a mega slide, jumping pillow, hay rides, and more. The fun park fee is $11.95 on weekdays and $19.95 on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.
10. Washington Farms—Bogart
About an hour east of Atlanta sits Washington Farms, which boasts u-pick strawberries in the spring along with a super fun farm play field, where visitors play games, ride zip lines, and bounce on the jumping pillow. The farm is open Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm for strawberry picking, which costs $1 for field entry. A gallon of u-pick strawberries is $16.95 and pre-picked is $20.95. Kids (and adults!) love their awesome mega slide.
11. Dickey Farms—Musella
Known primarily for their peaches, this farm also produces strawberries, and even has its own Strawberry Festival (April 18, 2026). Folks can visit the farm (about 80 miles south of Atlanta) every day during strawberry season for u-pick, pre-picked, plus strawberry treats like fritters, pies, and ice cream.
