How to Organize a Pantry

An organized pantry can not only help make meal planning easier but you’ll save money by not purchasing duplicates of something you already have but couldn’t find.

Taking time to organize your pantry will make meal preparation and shopping easier and more efficient. If you have a few cupboards, or a walk in,  pantry, these organization ideas will help you will help your pantry organized.

Take everything out of your pantry.

The first step to organizing your pantry is to take everything out and place it on your kitchen table and countertops. Take this time to wipe down the shelves and walls.  It’s also a good idea to take measurements of the shelves—make sure to measure width, height and depth—to help determine the storage organization system that will best fit.

Toss any expired items.

Toss any expired items and donate items that your family no longer eats.

Line shelves

Line your shelves with a heavy duty liner that will make cleaning up any spills much easier.

Store similar items together.
