Baked Salsa Chicken

Total Time: 45 minutes

Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1-1/2 tablespoons taco seasoning

1-1/2 cups salsa

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Toppings (optional)

sour cream

green onions

cilantro

Directions

Preheat oven to 375ºF degrees.

Spray a 9x13” baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Spread 1/2 cup salsa evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Place the chicken breasts on top.

Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken breasts. Pour the remaining salsa over chicken.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. Remove dish from oven and sprinkle the cheese over the chicken. Return the dish to the oven and bake for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Top wit cilantro or sour cream and green onions, if desired.
