Cook Time: 4 hours
Total Time: 4 hours, 10 minutes
Servings: 6 servings
3 pounds flank steak
1 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 fresh limes, juiced and divided
1 bundle cilantro, chopped
1/2 white onion, chopped
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup butter
Rub the olive oil over the steak. In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper and rub the mixture on the steak and place it in a crock pot.
Pour half the lime juice on the steak and place the cilantro and onion on top. Pour the beef broth around the steak.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours.
When steak is done, shred it with 2 forks and top with the remaining lime juice.
Melt the butter in a large skillet. Fry the tortillas for about a minute or until they’re soft.
Let them cool a little. Place the beef in the tortillas and add your favorite toppings.
