1 15.25-ounce box devil’s food cake chocolate cake mix
2 large eggs
1/2 cup melted butter or vegetable oil
1-1/2 cups red and green Christmas M&M's (reserve 1/2 cup to decorate the tops of the cookies)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs and oil until fully combined. Stir in 1 cup M&M’s. Place dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Form 1-inch dough balls and press remaining M&Ms on top of each cookie dough ball. Place dough balls on prepared cookie sheet about 2-inches apart.
Bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 3-4 minutes before transferring to a wire rack until fully cooled.
